What was the deal?
In 2008, when Epstein faced dozens of rape allegations involving underage girls in Florida, the then-federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta signed an extremely lenient Non-Prosecution Agreement with Epstein.
As a result of this deal, Epstein avoided life imprisonment and received only a 13-month sentence, with the condition that he could leave jail during the day to work.
